What do I do with it now?

So, class has ended and I wonder if I should keep this up for cathartic purposes. I know it won't be regular and I am almost positive than no one will read this. I mean I will still be in school and so the theme of this blog is still relevent. I guess it depends if I have time. It's not like its as narcasistic as twitter...or is it? If any tweeters read this don't take offense. Though, I doubt any are. I might keep it up. I guess we'll see if I post or let this dog lie.

IT'S DONE!!!!! BASK IN IT'S GLORY!!!!

I hope the sound effects are okay. I couldn't hear them in the library. All I know is, it's done and it's not to shabby.
Enjoy.

By the way, the imovie9 version is so much easier.

TORMENT!! Thy name is imovie!

AAAAAAAUUUUGH!!!!!!!!!!!!! I am so frustrated working with imovie. Well, at least the version of it in the lab is frustrating. Patrick said that imovie 9 at the library is easier, so I'm gonna try it. Timing and subtitles and transitions and blah are all giving me troubles. I haven't even begun to add sound effects yet. BAAAUUUGH! Hulk angry! Hulk want to smash! *&%$#@$%&%$#!$%$^&!!!!!!!!!!!!

Sorry, I had to rant a little. I'm better now. Not all better, but better. The scars are deep with this one. Once I figure this stuff out I know my movie will be good. Maybe if I really get the hang of it, I can burn my homemade movies to dvds and give them as presents or charge people...either way. I can see how this would be useful for a modern classroom. Kids are more apt to pay attention to digital stories. It sure beats the old sorry tapes we watched as kids. Plus they are tailor made for the classes. Convenient? Yes. Struggle to work with? Currently, yes. Will I use the end result in my classroom? If it turns out well, heck yea.

Hopefully my next blog post will have the finished movie embedded in it and a happy comment posted with it. For now, I give you this...

Good enough for government work.

So, I not to thrilled with my choice of topic for my Inspiration thought graph. It is kind of dull and I doubt I will us it. Don't get me wrong. The tool or application itself is pretty cool. I just wish I would of given myself more time to work on a more useful subject. I was thinking about using Inspiration to show soil types and classifications. Then from each different type have the different characteristic that make up the different types of soils and the different mixtures. Time (and holiday company) was not on my side. I don't think I did a bad job on the current chart that I turned in. I just think that I'm just "over it" for now and it really wasn't up to my creative standards. I do however realize that the point of the class is to understand these sites/tool/applications so that we can use them later for creating education artifacts. Lesson learned. I will probably make my soil chart before my free trial runs out, though.

On a side note, I feel that I have been slacking a little in the blog posting department. I'm thinking about how many times in previous classes that I didn't feel that I was able to express my knowledge or situation or life in general to my professors so that the understand where I am or coming from. It donned on me that "this is the tool to do that with and this is my opportunity". Plus it really is a little cathartic, just barfing out what ever you feel (well, within reason).
